How to play
- Spin the wheel to find out today's kind of word. Everyone gets the same spin, so you can compare notes.
- New to a word type? The reveal tells you what it means, and the ? button brings it back mid-puzzle.
- You have 4 goes. Your guess can be any length, but it has to be a real word. Name days (pseudonyms and exonyms) take any guess.
- Every letter in your guess that's also in the answer lights up in all its spots, and stays lit.
- Anagram days are different: use exactly the letters you're given, in any order (it doesn't have to be a real word). Any letter in the right place locks in.
- Guess another fair answer and we'll tell you it's close, but it's not the one we're after. It uses a go like any other guess, and its letters still light up.
- Stuck? A hint fills in part of the word, but uses up a go.
- Solve it to unlock the bonus round. Get all three right to find an Easter egg in the glossary.
- Win 7 days in a row and a golden bonus puzzle unlocks, with a rarer kind of word. It comes round again every 7th day of your streak.
